How to Read Tarot ~ Part 4

…continued from How to Read Tarot ~ Part 3

Using my numerological technique for learning the Tarot, you only have to memorize the meanings for the base numbers, plus the two Master numbers in the deck. Numerology is built upon nine base numbers, plus the Master numbers, which are double number that are all multiples of eleven: 11-99. The Tarot’s fifth suit, the Major Arcana, only goes to number 21, but the hidden value for The Fool is the second Master number, 22. If I were starting to learn the Tarot again, I would first memorize the meanings of numbers 0-10 plus the meaning of the Master numbers 11 and 22. The reason that I include number 10 is explained more fully in the section about numerology.

When you memorize the numbers instead of the specific cards, you start to see how the number works through the energy of the suits, and your intuition is given a much broader field in which to play. This book supplies a handy section on numerology at the back of the book, making it easy to study and memorize the meanings of the numbers.
