How to Learn to Read Tarot ~ Part 7

If the sum [of the numerical value of all the cards] equals twenty-two or lower, I use the corresponding card and its sum for enhanced reading. For instance, let’s say that your sum of a Celtic card spread is 108; you add these numbers together to get 18 — in numerology, you always drop the Zero because it has no value — which, in the numerology of the Tarot is The Moon/DREAMING. The 18 is related to the 9 in the Tarot since you can sum the 1 plus the 8 to get 9, The Hermit/EMERGENCE. If the sum of the reading equals the numerical value of one or more of the cards on the table at any point in the reduction process, I look at that card as being more important than the other cards in the reading.
