How to Read Tarot for Others (part 2)

A tarot reader is like a psychologist or a therapist; the client coming to a reader expects to get good advice, and trusts the Reader. Even if you read tarot as a parlor game, you can really hurt other people if you don’t take what you are doing seriously. Then there is the energy of the Tarot itself: like anything that has had that much emotional and mental energy directed at it, it has acquired an innate power of its own over the years. It doesn’t matter if you have a new deck straight out of the box or you are reading from your grandmother’s deck, the Tarot is a tool that can influence people, and as such should be treated with respect.
