How to Read Tarot for Others (part 4)

Because my client’s ego had been holding on to things as they were, desperately working long hours at a job she hated so she could afford her apartment, the break with the old had to be sudden and shocking. Breaking her arm should have shown her that she had to stop what she was doing, but this was apparently not enough to shake her ego from its hold, so she had to lose her expensive apartment. Finally her car had to break down before she could finally surrender and go a different way.

At the time, The Tarot of Creativity deck had not been created, but The Tower’s equivalent card in this deck is very illuminating, it is entitled “The Awakening.” According to the TOC card title, my client’s three-fold disaster was just the prelude to an awakening of her soul; and this turned out to be true: she was on the very cusp of a huge life change; one that was not to her ego’s liking.
