The Weird Fifth Dimension

Just as the third dimension may be incomprehensible to an inhabitant of the second dimension, a higher dimension is very difficult for us to understand, because our minds are conditioned to a linear perspective of comfortable absolutes.

Imagine that you are standing in a room with two mirrors, each on an opposing wall: you see an infinite number of reflections of your image apparently stretching around the world in each direction. This is a metaphor for a singular timeline representing the 4th dimension.

Now, add a couple more facing mirrors on the other walls, and imagine that each of those instances of you from the first timeline represents a real potential you that is now reflected on its own timeline in the new mirrors; this is perception from the 5th dimensional perspective.
